WILLOW
Gender; Female
Species; Mobian, thylacine
Age; Sixteen
Power; Communicating with the dead
Sexual Orientation; Straight
Alignment; Neutral (Civilian)
Main Colors; Tan, white, red-brown
Original Design by; Me
Personality;
Willow is normally quite calm, but if someone challenges her skills or beliefs she is usually quick to defend them. It can be quite easy to annoy her, although on most occasions she tries not to let it show. Willow has a tendency to be overly confident in her own abilities, so it is not unusual for her to bite off more than she can chew. She always assumes that she can outsmart her way out of a sticky situation (and in many cases she is not entirely wrong), and this has been known to get her into trouble.
If one is kind to Willow, she shows the same amount of respect and can be quite a nice person. She has a tendency to be wary of making friends, since she fears that friends may get in her way or disrupt her peace. Despite this, she is not against socializing with others and she even enjoys it if the other person has something in common with her. If one is incredibly kind to Willow, a bit of her shy side can come out, in which she struggles to find the right words and occasionally blushes at compliments.
Willow enjoys sleeping and hanging out in her favorite tree, climbing things, looking at the night sky, solving problems, and anything that tests her skills. She dislikes and is easily annoyed by anyone who outsmarts her or treats her in a disrespectful manner, loud noises, bright lights, and being in the spotlight.
Although she rarely speaks of this, Willow has a fear of dying. Life-threatening situations are one of the few things that can cause her to truly panic. In these rare situations, she can often easily be manipulated.
Background;
Willow doesn't really have much of a history. She always seemed to be separated from the rest of the world, often seeking her own little place to be in peace. Her favorite place to sit was a high branch on a willow tree, the very one she was named after. Her parents often worried about her, afraid that she was depressed or perhaps being bullied, but that could not be farther from the truth. In reality, Willow was only seeking a place to listen, both to the sounds around her and to the whispers she could hear in her mind.
It took Willow many years to come to terms with the fact that she could speak with the dead. At first she thought that she was perhaps insane, but eventually she realized that it was her "gift", or rather her curse. It was annoying to her at first, spirits contacting her to have her carry out their last wish, but eventually she even came to enjoy it. Willow knew that it was not something she could change, so she simply decided to accept it. She now wanders from place to place to go wherever the spirits ask her to go, but she always comes back home every once in a while.
Combat Statistics;
Strategic Summary:
Willow has very little physical strength. To compensate, she defends herself by using her limber body and quick thinking to keep herself away from danger and out of trouble. During times when escape would be impossible, Willow uses her pocket knife and, in times of desperation, her claws and teeth to fight. The pocket knife she carries is small, mostly because she usually uses it as a tool rather than a weapon. Her claws are not incredibly sharp, but using them she is able to cause damage if she really tries. Her teeth, on the other hand, are a bit more sharp although she doesn't often use them.
Signature Attack: Shadow Claw
With this attack, Willow strikes her opponent with sharp claws made from shadows. She does this by swinging her hand at the enemy to scratch them. This attack demands little focus from Willow, so it is easy for her to perform it while moving.
Special Attacks and Effects
- Spirit's Forewarn
When a battle is initiated, usually (but not every time) a spirit will contact Willow within her mind and will warn her of one or more of her opponent's special attacks that they know. This only happens once per combat encounter, and is always at the beginning of a fight.
- Curse
Working like a poison, Willow can cast a curse on another by throwing a ball of energy at them to slowly chip away at their energy over time. The effects are small at first, but as time goes on the power of the curse increases. In later stages of the curse, the victim may feel very weak. This curse wears off after five turns, and the victim's energy is restored immediately afterwards.
Chaos Power: Chaos Ghost
Upon contact with a chaos emerald, Willow acquires a ghost form during which she can pass through solid objects, but not attack. While in possession of a chaos emerald she can switch between these two forms, but switching too much will eventually cause her to become exhausted, as will staying in her ghost form for more than two turns. Because of this, Willow would only be able to switch once about every three to four turns, regardless of how many emeralds she has. With additional chaos emeralds, the amount of time she can remain in her ghost for increases, by one turn with every additional two emeralds.
